With Ryan and Sarah Hughes. He (and we) had a great time while visiting them in Abilene. He especially loved their dog Barley who enjoyed Luke's face.

Pulling up now and dreaming of what he's going to do outside when he can walk and run.

Jennifer was feeding him some carrots when he sneezed right as she put the spoon in his mouth. If you click on the picture and look close you can see his top teeth.

After the carrot ordeal, Jenn made a bath for him. She undressed him, put him on the floor of the bathroom, went to get a towel and when she came back, this is what she saw. So then she ran to get the camera, and luckily he stayed that way.

I think he could sense where his toys were

Luke is now going to a preschool at our church called "Little Acorns". It's Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9-2. Pretty much the only time he'll be going is when Jenn and I both work on one of those days or I've had a rough night at the station and need some sleep. It was sad for me and Jenn just to drop him off for five hours. I can't imagine what it's going to be like when he actually goes to school for a full day, five days a week.
He definitely seemed excited to be going!

With his first teacher. Like always he doesn't mind strangers. He went right to her and seemed comfortable.

I plopped him on the ground and he went straight to playing.

This kid was crying bloody murder and Luke looked at him like "Dude, what's the deal? We have toys to put in our mouths--this is awesome!"

Playing with one of his new friends.

I finally had to tell him bye and he didn't even notice(which I'm actually happy about)

We finally took Luke to get his first haircut. I was trying to get his hair a little shorter, Jennifer didn't want it cut at all, so we compromised and trimmed it about an inch. It went great. I got my haircut and while that was going on Luke fell asleep--perfect timing! He woke up right at the end of it, so we found out that it was much better for him to stay asleep right now during haircuts. He kept moving his head and trying to grab the comb and scissors---he's very curious.
I promise we didn't drug him!

The barber couldn't believe she was giving a full haircut to a six month old.

Feeling about the same way I feel about Prunes. Ugh

Prune mustache.
The pool construction is underway at the Speck house. This is Luke wetting down the concrete with his pawpaw.

With Uncle Mike. See where the curls come from?
